Welcome home

Your new life with Jesus has begun.

You do not have to know everything today. Following Jesus is a life of learning to know Him, trust Him, and walk with Him—one day at a time.

Begin gently

These are not boxes to rush through. They are simple ways to grow close to the One who saved you. Take your time. Jesus is patient, and He is with you.

You are a new creation

What just happened to you

When you trusted in Jesus, you were brought into a real relationship with Him. Your past no longer has the final word over you. You belong to Christ now, and He is making you new. Growth takes time, but your new life has already begun.

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.”

2 Corinthians 5:17

Begin in the Gospel of John

John’s Gospel will help you meet Jesus in the pages of Scripture—what He said, what He did, and who He is. Read a little each day, even if it is only a few verses. Before you begin, ask God to help you understand. You do not need to hurry.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path.”

Psalm 119:105

Talk to Him

Prayer can be simple and honest

Speak to Jesus as if He is right there in the room—because He hears you. Tell Him what you are thankful for, what worries you, what you need, and where you need help. You do not need special words. Be honest, and keep coming to Him.

“In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.”

Philippians 4:6

Be baptized

Your first public step of obedience

Baptism is the way Jesus gave believers to openly identify with Him. It does not earn God’s love; it is a joyful picture that your old life is gone and your new life belongs to Jesus. If you have not been baptized since believing, talk with a trusted local church about taking this step.

“Peter said to them, ‘Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’”

Acts 2:38

“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”

Matthew 28:19

Find a church family

You were never meant to walk alone

Look for a church that teaches the Bible faithfully, centers everything on Jesus, and helps people love one another. It is okay to visit, ask questions, and take time to find a healthy church. Let other believers know you, pray with you, and help you grow.

“Not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”

Hebrews 10:25

Tell someone

Share what Jesus has done for you

You do not need a polished speech. Simply tell someone you trust that you have put your faith in Jesus. Share what brought you to Him and what this new beginning means to you. Your honest story may become a doorway of hope for someone else.

“He didn’t allow him, but said to him, ‘Go to your house, to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you and how he had mercy on you.’”

Mark 5:19
