A weary person resting beneath a blanket in warm lamplight

For the one who keeps showing up

For the weary caregiver

When your hands are tired and your heart has carried more than anyone sees, linger here. The God who calls you to love does not ask you to bear the weight alone.

01

God sees your labor

The work done quietly, repeatedly, and with love is not hidden from Him.

58Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:58

9Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up.

Galatians 6:9

Strength for today

Not strength for every imagined tomorrow—grace for this day, and power that meets you in weakness.

29He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might.

30Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall;

31but those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.

Isaiah 40:29–31

9He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.

2 Corinthians 12:9
03

Rest for your soul

Jesus does not stand at a distance from the burdened. He invites them near.

28“Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.

29Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls.

30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Matthew 11:28–30

2He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.

3He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Psalm 23:2–3
04

Compassion that mirrors His

Your tenderness reflects the Father’s own heart—and His tenderness is also for you.

13Like a father has compassion on his children, so Yahweh has compassion on those who fear him.

14For he knows how we are made. He remembers that we are dust.

Psalm 103:13–14

22It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his mercies don’t fail.

23They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness.

Lamentations 3:22–23
05

You are not alone in this

The One who goes before you stays beside you—and carries what has become too heavy.

8Yahweh himself is who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged.

Deuteronomy 31:8

19Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burdens, even the God who is our salvation. Selah.

Psalm 68:19
